scrappy, President
My name is Scrappy, also known as Dude in the Jeep on social media. I proudly served as a 68W Combat Medic in the United States Army, with two deployments to Afghanistan. In 2015, I was medically retired from service. Though I was born in Puerto Rico, I’ve long considered Alabama my home.
Like many veterans, I faced unexpected challenges after leaving the military. Financial hardships and the weight of mental and emotional struggles left me in a difficult place. Through it all, one thing remained constant—my drive to serve others. Helping people has always been a core part of who I am, and it wasn’t until I experienced my own hardships that I realized just how critical it is to support one another, especially within the veteran community.
Today, I’ve committed my life to giving back. I focus on helping fellow veterans who find themselves in tough, temporary situations—because I’ve been there, and I know how hard it can be to ask for help. Through compassion, action, and community, I’m working to make sure no veteran feels alone in their struggle.
